South of the city of Bishkek, at the very foot of the Kok Jar mountains, there is a hill named Tashtar-Ata, this place is surrounded by various secrets and legends, and called the mountain of salvation.

According to local residents, the place has a very bright aura; pilgrims come there in search of purification of the soul.

It is impossible to scientifically prove or justify the healing power of the mountain, but the Mountain of Salvation serves as a sanctuary where pilgrims seek salvation from all troubles and diseases.

One of the legends says that the great patron of the people, Batyr Tashtar-Ata, fought with the forces of evil for 40 days and 40 nights for the freedom and prosperity of a beautiful fertile valley located in the hills. After winning the victory, he rested on the hill where he fell asleep to an eternal sleep.

Since then a rumor has spread among the people that whoever brings their stone here, will feel how harmony and tranquility will fill them with life.

This is how a huge man-made mound grew, reminiscent of contemporaries of the past.

In June 2013, a spiritual and architectural complex was opened on Mount Tashtar-Ata.
