In the morning, the lively city of Osh is left behind to reach the fertile lands of the Ferghana Valley. The first stop leads to Uzgen, an ancient caravan city on the Silk Road. There, the remarkable historical complex is unveiled: an elegant 11th-century minaret and several Karakhanid mausoleums decorated with finely sculpted bricks, a fascinating testament to the medieval architecture of Central Asia.

The journey continues towards Jalal-Abad, at the heart of a prosperous agricultural region. A stop is made near the market for lunch, in a lively atmosphere where the scents of spices, fruits, and fresh bread mingle. This presents an opportunity to taste local cuisine and observe daily life in this large southern Kyrgyz city.

In the afternoon, the road traverses the fertile landscapes of the valley: vast cotton fields alternate with melon and watermelon crops, emblematic of this warm and sunny region. Gradually, the scenery changes upon reaching the Naryn River Valley. The road then ascends an impressive canyon carved by the river, punctuated by several hydroelectric dams that are among the most important in the country.

By the end of the day, the immense Toktogul Reservoir is reached. Its turquoise waters, surrounded by arid mountains, offer a striking contrast with the fertile plains crossed earlier. The road winds around this spectacular lake for quite some time before arriving in the small town of Toktogul, where the night is spent.
