The Nepalese capital is located at 1300-1340 meters above sea level in a wide valley in the middle of the mountains. It is a two-thousand-year-old city that hides countless Buddhist and Hindu temples, interesting places, and today encompasses several small neighboring towns that were former royal capitals such as Bakhtapur, Kirtipur, Lalitpur and Kantipur. Kathmandu is a noisy city day and night, and most tourists arrive by air and mark their departure and arrival point of their trip. There is so much to discover in Kathmandu that it could be the subject of one trip.
