South of the At-Bashi mountain range, lies the upper Ak-Say valley, which stretches for a hundred kilometers, and up to 40 km in width.

Just after the city of Naryn on the way to the At-Bashi, the waterfall is situated some km before to arrive on the Kyzyl Bel pass.
